Aesthetic filling

In our clinics we use composite, compomer and glass ionomer-type materials for Aesthetic ("white") fillings, what are perfectly met the aesthetic needs. Their color is the same color of the tooth. We always choose this color shade by using a tooth shade chart. The material hardening is achieved by using a polymerization lamp. The resulting filling can be used immediately.

Replacement of amalgam dental fillings

The amalgam dental fillings are rarely used procedure. The filling is durable, but aesthetically unsatisfactory and contains mercury. Over time it will causes discoloration of gray. It is therefore recommended the replacement of existing amalgam fillings.

The dental laboratory prepares a solid filling by impression, and a few days later the dentist sets it with a special glue. The tooth replacement will complement the missing parts of the decayed chewing teeth, beautifying the teeth. Any shade can be imitated, so your smile will be as was before.

Metal-cheramic prosthetis

Metal-ceramic crowns (porcelain), bridges

When the original shape of the tooth can not be restored by aesthetic filling, the tooth must be sanded. Impression be taken of the polished tooth pursuant to which the technician will prepare the porcelain crown. By making bridges the teeth adjacent to missing teeth has to be abrade and after the impressions the dental technician prepares the bridge.

Tooth replacement is only possible if the teeth are not decayed under the crown, root canal therapy and periodontal disease treatment has already occurred. Our goal is to restore normal chewing function, aesthetics, and patient satisfaction.

Metal-free dentures

Metal-free crowns and bridges

The modern aesthetic denture making today is unimaginable without the metal-free technology. One of the achievements of modern CAD / CAM computer system is the making of zirconium oxide crown and bridge.  At the preparation of the zirconium crown and bridge the dentist first takes impressions of the prepared teeth or implants, or the impression heads. The scanner scans he samples prepared in the dental laboratory. Forwards it through the internet to the international production center, where the manufacturing of zirconium frame takes place. The development of the final form of the crown / bridge meets the individual aesthetic, biomechanical and hygienic requirements.

The metal-free (zirconium) crown advantages:

  •       completely metal-free, so there is no metal allergy,
  •       stronger than metal but ceramic colored body which allowes the light to pass through
  •       the porcelain veneer to perfectly mimic natural enamel,
  •       natural, maximum aesthetic effect,
  •       optimum light transmission,
  •       no gray gumline,
  •       multi-axled bridges can be made thanks to the strong frame,
  •       computer technology is very precise and accurate
  •       next to it no gingivitis will occur, the gum will not pull away from the teeth
  •       microscopic edge closure

  cons:

  •       more expensive option than traditional metal restorations,
  •       longer technical preparation time

Our dental surgery uses German and Japanese zirconium. Metal-free replacements we undertake for a one week notice.

Try the metal-free zirconium prosthesis benefits! Enjoy the perfect aesthetic result! Stay informed of our clinics in person!

 Gnashing of teeth

Occlusal splint at night

At the dental treatment we often find worn, chippes teeth, for which, as we learn in the morning chronic sleeplessness, fatigue, sleep disorders, ringing in the ears, neck pain and sometimes mouth opening limitation, mandibular joint clicking is associated.

In such cases, often clenching and grinding of the teeth is involved at night. The recycling of everyday stress happens at night in the first sleep phases, which in convulsive grip of the teeth is manifested in many cases, and can cause the previously mentioned symptoms.

These symptoms will be reduced with an occlusal splint, which is prepared by the dental technician after sampling by the dentist.
At the end of a tense day the rail has to be placed on the teeth before going to sleep:

  •       lifts the clamping jaw-bones out of the clenching position, thus inhibiting the jams of teeth
  •       prevent further fragmentation and wear of the teeth,
  •       in this situation the tightness is not permanent
  •       the muscles of the head and neck region relax.

Although the cause of this (the stress) can not be remedied, but part of the symptoms could. It is important also to know that the ill-prepared fillings and dentures can also cause dyskinesia, gnashing of teeth in the mouth, and irregular dentition (overbite, crossbite) also can cause jaw joint disorders, neck pain.

If you have any questions about the treatment, we recommend a personal consultation. Please contact us!

Whitening

The most significant parts of the face are the eyes and the teeth: a confident and beautiful smile immediately catches the eye. Thanks to the healthy, bright white tooth, you become more confident, and therefore raise confidence in others. At young age almost everyone's teeth are white, but as the years pass, the food we eat and drink (e.g. red wine, coffee, cola), and the result of bad habits (smoking) discolor the teeth. Teeth whitening eliminate the discoloration of the tooth without damaging the hard and soft tissues; the procedure does not cause any tissue damage and may be repeated in every few year. The in-office polymerization tooth whitening procedure is completely safe and painless. The time required for the teeth whitening is about one hour. After whitening the teeth can be even 8 to 10 shades whiter too.

Teeth whitening is as follows:

The teeth whitening begins with a complete inspection of the patient's teeth – sick teeth need to be addressed. The final fillings and replacements can be made only after whitening, as these colors will not change during treatment. Before the whitening your teeth has to be cleaned of deposits and tartar. Next, we determine the current color of your teeth using a color chart, so you can see after the treatment, how many shades whiter your teeth become.
The first step of whitening is placing a special gum guard rail to protect the soft tissues. Then the professional tooth whitening gel is placed, which is constantly illuminated by polymerization light. The gel stays on the teeth for 3x8 minutes.

At the end of the third eight-minute interval rinse your teeth and compare the result to the color chart, so you immediately see the difference between the status before and after bleaching.
After the teeth whitening you have just a few things űto do to keep in mind in order to preserve the results in the longer term.  As far as possible avoid the excessive consumption of coffee, not to smoke, reduce the variety of drinks (tea, red wine, cola) consumption.

The goal is that you are fully satisfied with your gleaming white teeth, and feel more confident, more successful in both private and business life. We offer a 100% secure, truly effective and lasting process of bleaching, which tens of thousands of patients could experience around the world. Enjoy the power and the strength of bright smile.

Internal root canal treated teeth whitening

The bleaching of discolored, gray root canal treated teeth is also possible. The process is to remove a portion of the filling from the root canal and place tooth whitening gel in place, and temporarily seal the tooth. After a few hours you can see the change, but the result will be really spectacular is two to three days. Upon request, the internal bleaching can be repeated., this method of course does not change the color of fillings, so you should replace them after the whitening.

Plaque, gingivitis

The scaling (professional oral care)

The professional oral care not only includes the removal of plaque, but also eliminate all the reasons that would assist in the colonization of bacteria on the teeth, in the intervals of the teeth and dental works (e.g., filling protruding edges, rough fillings). A professional cleaning of the plaque extends beyond the elimination of all discoloration and sediment removal to the smoothing, polishing of tooth surfaces, to clean the tooth below the gum area and the elimination of gingivitis.

What can we do against the plaque?

With the professional tooth cleaning we take the first step in preventing plaque deposition, whereby the plaque are removed with a professional ultrasonic deputator and with a special hand-held device on hard to reach areas. The treatment is painless. After the plaque are removed the tooth surfaces are completely smooth polished with a fine smooth polishing paste using special brushes and rubber cups for this purpose. This plaque and tartar-free area may be reserved with simple home tooth cleaning. Nevertheless, in any event, we recommend in office cleaning (scaling) 1 to 2 times a year depending on the tendency.

Is it true that the plaque can also cause bad breath?

Excellent room for those bacteria that causes periodontal inflammation, bleeding gums and periodontal destruction in the end, and loosening and losing of an otherwise healthy tooth. The plaque-induced periodontal disease in our country, unfortunately, a common disease, it significantly facilitates the formation of tooth loss, and the plaques are aesthetically ugly and can be a major cause of unpleasant mouth odor. The sign of inflammation of the gums are swollen, red, bleeding and painful gums which in many cases can be prevented by regular (every six months) plaque removal, oral hygiene (regular use of dental floss), laser treatment. The consequences of gingivitis is that gingivitis may progress to periodontal inflammation, which over the years can lead to tooth loss; the initial gingivitis may progress to long-term inflammation of the gums, the gums will start to thrive, almost grows on the teeth. Such proliferation of gums can be observed in case of hormonal changes (like pregnancy), and as a result of certain medications.

Laser treatment

The laser is becoming more widely used by dentists in dentistry and oral surgery. The soft laser causes a much faster recovery without unpleasant symptoms and has fewer side effects, not replacing of course but complementing the dental, surgical treatments and medication therapy.

Key application areas include:

  • Oral mucosal diseases (aphta, herpes, chronic inflammation)
  • Pain Management (trigeminal neuralgia, post-operative pain)
  • Periodontal diseases (parodontosis, periodontitis, gingivitis, pockets)
  • Following bone surgery (removal of teeth, root resection, surgical removal of teeth, cyst surgery, corrective and implantation)
  • Dental inflammation (periostitis, osteomyelitis, phlegmone etc.).
  • Temporomandibular joint disease (post-injury pain, osteoarthritis, arthritis)

The applied laser treatment in dentistry helps to eliminate the various discomforts following the dental and oral surgical treatments. Significantly shortens the healing time, the sutures can be removed sooner, with less post-operative pain, edema. Faster is the healing of cold sores and aphta as well.

 Orthodontics

Adult orthodontics

Can orthodontic treatment be as effective in adults as in children?

The healthy teeth can be moved at any age. Many tooth positional problem can be easily solved in adults, as well as children. In the process of orthodontic treatment the teeth moves for the 75 year old adults, as for a 12 years old child. In more complex cases, however, special treatment may be required in adults. One in five individuals signing up for orthodontic treatment is adult.

How the adult orthodontics different from for children and teenagers?

Firstly, the growing f tooth in adults has been shut down, on the other hand, they may have bone loss or tooth nutritional deficiency. In such cases, orthodontic treatment is only one part of the whole. Close co-operation of orthodontic specialist physician required for oral surgeons, dentists and periodontologist colleagues. This ensures that the complicated case of an adult patient can be professionally remedied.

Children's Orthodontics

What is the importance of orthodontic screening for children?

A seven year old, has developed enough permanent teeth, for the orthodontic dentist collegs toexamin the jawbone layout, and to begin a possible treatment.
The first permanent molars and incisors arise by the age of seven, cross-bites, teet congestionand protruding teeth susceptible to injury can be visible by than. Just like thumb sucking.
The following warning signs and bad habits require an early orthodontic examination:

• Early or late loss of baby teeth,
• difficulty chewing or biting,
• mouth breathing,
• thumb sucking,
• teeth congestion, teeth in the wrong place,
• clicking in the jaw and other noises,
• Bite lips or palate,
• disproportion, irregularities in the row of teeth,
• differences in size of the jaw and teeth

What are the advantadges of early treatment?
In cases, when early orthodontic treatment is recomended, the following options are open:

Correct jaw growth and development control, and the dilatation of the upper and lower dentalarches. Controlling the correct growth of permanent teeth, also to reduce the forward inclination ofthe incisors. Correcting speach and swallowing problems, and bad habits such as thumb sucking can also be corrected in this early stage. Inhencing an aesthetic appearance.

Tipical problems of the teeth row:
cross-bite infront of the incisor teeth (the upper teeth bite behind the lower incisors), cross-bite in the back teeth (the upper teeth bite inside the lower teeth)

• teeth congestion,
• open bite (teeth do not meet infront of the contact at the rear),
• tilting and protruding upper teeth,
• a deep bite,
• lower jaw protrusion ( the lower front teeth bite infront of the tops)
• gap between the teeth,
• differences in teeth positions, resulting from bad habits (eg, thumb sucking).
Beautiful smile, beautiful face!

Children's Dentistry

Dear Parents,
We recommend that the firs visit to the dentist shell take place at the time, when your child has no complaints whatsoever. It is important that your child is not exposed to negative experiences, and psychological trauma. Dental check should be a pleasant, relaxing experience for your child as much as possible.

Baby teeth fillings
The goal is to save all milk teeth till the tooth changes. the critical years for the milk teeth is the fourth year. The incisors can have belt like decay (sugary pacifier, etc.). The treatment is difficult.
The cavity of the grinding teeth can be filled with glass ionomer cement , or in some cases, the decayed part can be polished off.

Baby teeth root canal treatment
A very deep cavity may require this step. Usually when the first baby molar teeth occur. In the process we do not touch the roots,
only the crown pulp is removed and then we do the filling of the cavity.

Baby teeth extraction
The milk tooth removal is recommended only if the corresponding permanent tooth will develope
within a year of the removal. In case of an early removal (especially the 4th-5th baby tooth) a spacer is recommended because
it provides the proper formation of permanent teeth.

Furrow closure
The molars have grooves on their surface. Furrow closure, in fact means the coating of these deep
grooves, with a special fluorine-containing material, in order to prevent future tooth decay. The
grooves are healthy , there is no need to drill holes. The treatment is painless, no anesthesia is
required. Eating is allowed immediately after treatment.

When should my child take furrow closing?
The treatment is recommended with milk molar, however, when the first permanent teeth appear,
(around the age of 6-8 years),it has to be done. The treatment is painless, and does not require
anesthesia.

Root canal treatment

When may you need a root canal?

• the decay has spread so deep that the infection reaches the pulp-cavity (this is unbearable, often
throbbing pain occurring at night)
• or a strong blow to the teeth, even without symptoms the pulp may also die, it is often only
become apparent when there is an accidental X-ray shooting (if you have lesions on the root tip, and the dead tooth discolor)
• or in a serious damage to the crown, when the fracture reaches the nerve canal, root canal
treatment may become necessary

The easiest and simplest way to deal with a dead, or aching tooth is to pull it out,but remember, when a tooth is pulled out,
it has to be replaced eventually.
If we fail to replace it, then the tooth in the opposite row of teeth, grows out more and more from it’s line,
or the adjacent tooth tillts into the empty space. If you have more than just a few teeth missing,
than the remaining teeth could become overloaded. As a result, more tooth can be lost. Therefore,
when it’s possible, have a root canal treatment, as there is no better alternative to our own tooth.

The root canal treatment:
The tooth has to be anaesthetised, unless it is an old dead one. In the crown area we cleane the
decay, and look for the root canals (incisors, canines have one root canal, moulers have three or four)
From the wall of a root canal we grain off the infected debris, forming a smooth surface,we have it
sterilized, and than we provide a temporary filling. The permanent root canal filling takes place one
week later. Followed by the filling of the tooth, or putting a crown on the tooth.
The procedure is mostly painless, but it takes longer than a simple filling.
After the root canal procedure, a mild local inflammation may develop,
however, it goes away within a few days.

In order to minimize the pain during the root canal procedure, for those patients who arrive
with severe toothache, we apply pain relief medication, so that the root canal treatment can be
done painlessly.
Ubistesin-forte is the name of the anesthetic we use for the root, which has a four times
stronger effect than conventional lidocain.
We also apply antiseptic and soothing medication to close the tooth, helping its healing
process. Following all that, comes the permanent filling to the root.

Dental implants

What are the benefits of implantation, ie the tooth root implant?

Most people have lost one or more teeth for various reasons, illness, accident, old age, etc..
However, the missing teeth -with a few exceptions like wisdom teeth - must be replaced as
soon as possible. Otherwise the lack of nourishment over time, often leads to stomach ache,
and digestive problems.
In addition , in the empty place of the missing tooth ", due to the bone loss, other teeth will "migrate,
and tilt in the direction of chewing forces, which comes at the expense of the appearance: the facial
features changed, the mouth area falls in.
The partial or complete dentures many cause problems, so does the bridge - in such cases an
alternative solution can be a tooth implant, a dental implantation. The tooth implant is a substitute for the real root.
During the procedure the implants are implanted in place of the lost tooth, providing a base to
which the crowns, bridges and prostheses can be fixed. The tooth implant usually made of pure
titanium. Thanks to its biological, chemical and physical properties , It can be properly integrated to
the bone, and fully accepted by the human body, which is an essential critera for successful
implantation.

What are the implantation, ie, dental implants (tooth root replacement) benefits?

One of the biggest advantages over the other tooth replacement methods, is its stability that
can be measured in magnitudes. This implies another kind of aesthetic advantage: it is not
detected in the daily activities either by the patient or by the environment. The tooth implant
is like getting back your own teeth

Who can get implants?

In Hungary, a person has to be healthy and at least 18 years  old,  to get a dental implant.
Unfortunately, in some cases it may not be used –as certain kind of diseases are contradicting
implantation. -Such as diabetes, severe heart disease, a number of bone disease or uncontrolled high
blood pressure.

What should I do after dental implants?

In order to have a long lasting tooth implant,it is very importat to give priority to a regular
dental and oral care. The poor oral hygiene will eventually lead to loss of tooth implant.

Proper dental and oral care  after implants

  Daily brushing at least twice
• Once a week rinsing with Chlorhexamed or Listerine (or other similar product) for flushing
• Avoid smoking
• Avoid consumption of sugary foods
• Check up, in every six month, to fully comply with the dentist's instructions
• Cleaning of tartar is also recommended every six month

What will  it take  to have an implant?

If the patient had an appropriate amount of bone, dental implant is divided into two main phases:
The first is to have an artificial root, ie tooth-implant implantation. This is an hour and a half- routine
surgery depending on the number of implants, which takes place under local anesthesia. The
insertion of tooth implant is followed with a 3-4 month healing period, then the patient returns to
the office to receive the permanent crown to the implant.

The second phase means a few pain-free treatment (like imprint sample). At the same time
a dental technician personally viewing the patient's teeth, examining the new crown if that
perfectly matches the color of existing teeth, or not.

If the volume of the patient's bone is not sufficient for performing the tooth implantation,
our colleague, -an oral surgeon(dentist)- suggests a bone replacement procedure. The bone
replacement surgery is also performed under local anesthesia. Often it can be done at the
same time with the insertion of bone replacement, but sometimes, you need a healing period
of several months.

Oral surgery

Tooth extraction (wisdom tooth extraction)
Dental extractions performed under local anesthesia. As the case may be made thee is a simple
tooth extraction, while in more serious cases an excavation methode is performed fo tooth
extraction.

What to do after tooth extraction?

As long as the numbness wears off, you should not eat. Because of the anesthesia chewing
can cause serious wounds in the mouth.Drink a lot of fluids, but avoid alcohol, because
alcohol can cause the wound to begin to bleed again. The consumption of dairy products is
not recommended on the day of the extraction, and smoking should be avoided as well.. The
Do not rinse after tooth extraction, no spitting, and no sucking on the wound, to allow the
bleeding to stop. An hour or two after tooth extraction (if you feel the need for it) take a
painkiller,to avoid the immediate postoperative pain. In the following few days, of the
operation, especially impotrant to follow the oral hygienie instructions. Brush your teeth
regularly, and keep the wound aria clean as well. It is highly recommended to rinse with
antiseptic fluid(however, do not start right after the tooth extraction). In case ,the extracted
tooth was inflammed, it is possible to have a fever, after the operation. It is good to take theusual antifebrile Following these advices,
there is a good chance to have the wound heal faster.
If any complication occures, please return to our dental office. Do not try to get well at home.

Why is it recommended to remove the wisdom teeth?

• The eight teeth, considered to be an evolutionary “left behind teeth “ can cause many
problems:
• teeth congestion, due to the small space,
• due to the difficulty to reach them, they are hard to clean, so they start to decay easily,
• in many cases they become inflamed, they can cause locked jaw, and cysts often develop
around them,
• in many cases wisdom teeth lean on to the tooth in front of them, starting a decay, and root
absorption,
• unfit for bridge to be made, only in exceptional cases,
• difficult to reach, it is hard to put fillings in,
• unfit for root fillings, as they have 2-3 or even 4-root canals,
• extra teeth, because there are no role for them in chewing.

In summary, usually wisdom teeth are trouble: inflammation, cavities, nine out of ten cases.
We therefore recommend the removal of wisdom teeth as soon as possible.
Our dentists apply local anesthesia.
a simple tooth extraction, only in some cases oral surgery is required,(excavation tooth extraction).
